There is a unique type of roadside attraction in Thailand that had me traveling to the remote rural towns: sculpture gardens that depict Buddhist hells.  Fantastically appalling, I wound up visiting four "Hells" during my travels and I hope to continue my hunt  in other Asian countries soon.
